West Side Tractor Breaks Ground on New Indianapolis Facility
A landmark project marking 15 years of growth, legacy, and industry commitment in Indiana
Indianapolis, IN – October 22, 2025 – West Side Tractor – a John Deere construction and forestry equipment dealership – has broken ground on a new Indianapolis headquarters, a major milestone that reflects the company’s continued investment and long-term commitment to supporting Indiana’s construction industry.
The new 60,000+ square-foot facility, located on 20 acres along Interstate 74 and the Post Road exit, will serve as the flagship West Side Tractor location in Indiana—supporting customers with equipment sales, rentals, parts, service, and technology solutions.
A Milestone Project 15 Years in the Making
This groundbreaking marks West Side Tractor’s 15th anniversary since entering the Indiana market. Over the past decade, the company has built new full-service facilities in Bloomington and Terre Haute and completed a major renovation in Lafayette earlier this year.
“This project not only represents West Side Tractor’s commitment to our growing customer base—to provide the best equipment and service experience possible—but it’s also very meaningful for our family,” said Brian Benck, Senior Vice President of Sales and third-generation owner. “As a family business, we take great pride in building a lasting legacy, and seeing this long-term goal come to life is truly special.”
Facility Overview
Located in a desirable area along I-74 on the Southeast side of Indianapolis, the new facility is conveniently located for easy access. At the front of the building, a spacious showroom will feature the latest and greatest in John Deere construction equipment, alongside historical John Deere pieces that hold significance to the construction industry. The showroom will provide an engaging experience not only for employees and customers, but also for the broader community, offering a place to learn more about construction equipment innovation. Designed with our employees in mind, the facility includes modern locker rooms, break areas, and office spaces.
“We have high expectations for expanding our service capabilities in this region, and this new facility represents exactly what we’re aiming to achieve,” said Jen Snow, SVP of Operations. “We’ll have triple the service capacity of our current shop, in addition to plenty of parts storage and training space. This property gives us the tools to build on the foundation we’ve already established. Our goal is to provide even better support to our customers and continue growing our presence in the area.”
A dedicated Machine Monitoring Center will serve as the command hub for West Side Tractor’s machine health team, who work directly with customers to optimize fleet performance. Visitors can stop by to learn more about John Deere Operations Center and the specialized reporting tools West Side Tractor provides to help customers track uptime, efficiency, and utilization across their fleets.
There will be a designated space for the Precision Construction sales and support team, giving customers access to hands-on machine control technology expertise. The site will also feature an exterior calibration pad—a key element for machine control setup and testing—along with open space for equipment and technology demonstrations.
The Indianapolis facility will also support the company’s growing rental business, West Side Rents. The site will maintain a large inventory of rental equipment for local contractors while also acting as a key distribution point for moving machines throughout both states.
More than just a dealership, the new Indianapolis headquarters will serve as a community and industry hub for construction professionals, partners, and families. Inspired by West Side Tractor’s Lisle, Illinois, facility—opened in 2020—the Indianapolis location will also include flexible event space available for customers and industry partners to host their own meetings, open houses, and educational events.
The company plans to use the new facility for recruiting and education, partnering with local schools and trade programs to welcome students onsite and introduce them to careers in the construction industry.
“This facility is built for the future,” added Lauren Coffaro, SVP Marketing and Technology. “It’s a statement of who we are and where we’re going. Our goal has always been to support the men and women who build our communities and to inspire the next generation to join them. This space allows us to do both.”
