Ryan Stumph Named Territory Champion of John Deere Technicians of the Year Award
West Side Tractor Sales’ Field Technician Recognized for Outstanding Service and Expertise

Lafayette, IN – October 17, 2024 – West Side Tractor Sales is proud to announce that Ryan Stumph has been awarded the Territory Champion of the John Deere Technicians of the Year Award. He is one of fifty-nine John Deere technicians being recognized across all John Deere Construction and Ag/Turf dealerships in the United States. Since joining West Side Tractor in 2017, Ryan has consistently demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, dedication to customer service, and a passion for his work in the field, setting a high standard in the industry. Ryan works out of the WST Lafayette, Indiana location.

Ryan holds certifications in over 20 John Deere products and serves as a key field technician, providing vital support to customers across the region. Ryan participates in ongoing product training – even taking the lead on creating the curriculum and delivering a 1-day training session to his peers – and is always willing to learn something new. His commitment to ensuring equipment uptime and rapid problem resolution has earned him a stellar reputation among customers.

Ryan’s approach to customer service goes beyond just fixing problems. His dedication to preventing equipment downtime and providing thorough inspections has earned him the trust of his customers. “I do whatever I can to ensure the customer is taken care of and production is not lost. I often work late or on weekends to keep our customers’ operations running smoothly,” Ryan explained. His meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving abilities have been key to his success.

John Deere customers frequently commend Ryan for his exceptional service, noting his reliability, work ethic, and communication. “Ryan is always a joy to be around and goes above and beyond with any task. He is meticulous and ensures we understand every step of the process, minimizing our downtime,” remarked one long-term customer. Beyond his technical achievements, Ryan is also an active member of his community, volunteering with Tree Lafayette to plant and maintain trees within the city. His contributions reflect the same dedication and care he brings to his work.

“I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of being a technician,” Ryan said. “It’s rewarding to figure out the root cause of an issue and get our customers back up and running. It’s also great to see how much they appreciate the effort, even when the job starts on a tough note.”
